ABOUT GUSTAVO

Brazilian-born writer/director/producer Gustavo Lipsztein grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil before moving to the U.S. to earn his BFA in film production from NYU/Tisch, MFA in screenwriting from the American Film Institute (AFI), and MBA from UCLA Anderson.  He created and wrote the most watched Brazilian Netflix series of all time, TODO DIA A MESME NOITE (THE ENDLESS NIGHT) [Netflix, 2023], which ranked #1 on Netflix Brazil and Top 10 worldwide. He created and wrote two-time International Emmy nominated UM CONTRA TODOS (ONE AGAINST ALL) [Fox Latin America, 2017-2020].  Lipsztein wrote the Brazilian Academy Award Winning comedy DEPOIS A LOUCA SOU EU (LOSING MY MARBLES) [Amazon, 2022], for which he was also nominated for the Brazilian Writer’s Guild Award.  In 2019, Lipsztein was nominated for the Brazilian Academy Award for Best Screenplay for his feature O PACIENTE (THE PATIENT) [Paris Filmes/Globo Filmes, 2018], and wrote the #1 Brazilian film at the Brazilian box-office in 2017, A LEI É PARA TODOS (OPERATION CARWASH) [Downtown Filmes/Paris Filmes, 2017].  He is currently developing a slate of series and films for Netflix, Paris Filmes, and Universal Television under his production banner, Vamos Ver Filmes, and he resides in Los Angeles, CA.
